In this long take, the orthogonal railroads divide the scene, guiding and defining the order and possibilities of seeing. At this stage, contrived events and chance encounters play out simultaneously.

*此作品发生于昆明城附近，此处是为数不多的窄轨铁路与准轨铁路的平交道口，通常被叫做“大十字”。

**此作品引用了委拉士贵支“宫娥”画作中的结构，然而重新安置了观看者/观看对象之间的关系。

* This work takes place near the city Kunming. This site is one of the few level-crossings between narrow gauge railway and quasi-gauge railway, and is often called "The Big Cross".

** This work references Velazquez's "Las meninas" , but rearranges the relationship between the subjects and the objects.
